As a builder, I find myself focused on nascent product areas. I have scaled to billions of users and enjoy starting small & growing the teams.

2020 - Present: Created Forecast, a social prediction market, that enables people to sift through the news of today to figure out how it influences the world of tomorrow.

2018 - 2020: Built the effort to fight misinformation.

o Surfaced viral & potentially misleading content to independent fact checkers, a global network of journalism agencies.

o Scaled the systems to help across Facebook's family of apps, working with UXR, created the experiences to communicate fact checks effectively to people.

o Grew the team, onboarding engineers, managers, PMs, researchers, & designers along the way.

2014 - 2017: Built systems to understand how information spreads across Facebook. Took these systems to create a product for advertisers.

o Organized talks & events around the Bay Area with topics ranging from machine learning to data visualization.

o Grew the data science community from 100 to over 10k.

o Organized d3.unconf a conference for visualization professionals.

I shipped code, worked with customers, & did what needed to be done to make progress in finding product-market fit. Bridging the gaps between design, data science, and engineering as an early member of a growing team.

Bluenose Analytics was a venture backed company (Social Capital and Norwest Ventures) building a SaaS product for Customer Success teams and professionals.
