Query and Storage team, focus on store and compute data generated in autonomous vehicle

I play with spanner , F1, Napa and capacitor . With my expertise in database internal, I sometimes invent new things to necessarily by pass those products’ limitation

I set up vision, recruit people, lead 6 teams of 300+ volunteers (most of them are Bay Area engineers).

I also worried about fund raising, PR, competitors. I learned to keep my team motivated and mobilized while no one is being paid a penny.

I worked on Big Query Storage (GCP version of Databrick)

Improved BigQuery storage-powered Spark’s performance in TPC-DS to beat parquet(GCS) powered Spark

Azure Synapse(Azure version of Snowflake)

I worked on query engine team and directly report to query optimizer expert César A. Galindo-Legaria.

I supported JSON data type in Azure synapse (announced in MS Build 2018) and multi-column distribution table(announced in MS Build 2019)
