backend software engineer.
part of the software engineering team that build integration features, such as APIs, Salesforce data sync, webhooks, optimizing backend services, and occasionally some react UI components.
Managed 2 teams in Application Security: Detection and Remediation
The teams implement methods to detect anomalies and potential security exploits, and build features to mitigate vulnerabilities, such as XSS, SQL injection, and more.
Prior to security, I managed a team of software engineers in Booking.com Connectivity. The team was responsible for ContentAPI, Connectivity Portal (https://connect.booking.com), and the system architecture for acquisition of hotels and properties data.
ContentAPI: my team successfully launched Booking's Connectivity Content API. Developed numerous new APIs and internal tools for Booking.com Connectivity. Introduced a new customer-centric API development process (user research plus API design) to the team, and it is now the team's core development strategy.
Brotli Compression: implemented a feature that compresses 10% more data efficient than gzip for Booking.com's WWW pages (go to www.booking.com; the HTTP response header "Content-Encoding: br" is the result of this feature).
Code Refactoring: broke down a huge legacy monolithic module that builds new properties in Booking.com into smaller modules, with an intention to mirgrate them to microservices.
Tablet www: implemented numerous A/B test experiments and successful full-on features for Booking's tablet website.
Mentorship: mentored 4 graduate developers who successfully got promoted to core roles.
