Own production correctness and reliability across the order, billing/payment, sample, lab results, and EMR/portal reporting workflows (Kafka, SQL, logs/traces).
Deliver permanent fixes for cross-service consistency failures: duplicate events, out-of-order processing, idempotency, and state-transition mismatches.
Harden billing/payment integrations (ACH, Afterpay, Klarna, payment links) with reconciliation safeguards and failure-mode handling.
Improve observability and incident response with runbooks, RCA templates, and debugging conventions; reduce repeat incidents.
Ship code in Java/Python to validate data contracts, add safety checks, and prevent regressions in high-risk integrations.

2021–2023 | Software Engineer
Built and owned a Java Spring instrument-integration service bridging Kafka order/sample events (sample ID, test list, patient/collection metadata) to ASTM messages for DI and TSP analyzers.
Implemented bidirectional protocol translation: generated ASTM requests to instruments and parsed instrument outputs to ingest lab results into internal services/data pipelines.
Owned production deployment and observability for the instrument messaging pipeline (containerized service, monitoring/alerting), and shipped reliability fixes (structured logging, validation, failure-mode handling).
Implemented Kafka producers/consumers to publish test-status and results events with consistent cross-service delivery.
