I focused on building and scaling web applications with Ruby on Rails, ReactJS, managing databases with MySQL, and improving performance using Redis, Sidekiq for background job monitoring. I deployed services with Kubernetes and kept everything running smoothly by monitoring with tools like Honeycomb and Rollbar. I also used Metabase to track key metrics and helped streamline our deployment processes with CI/CD pipelines. It was a hands-on role that gave me a lot of experience with cloud infrastructure and microservices architecture.

I helped build out and improved features of the product with Elixir / Phoenix and Postgres. I had much fun learning and applying Elixir and Phoenix in the first year. In the second year working here, I helped improve the performance of the app in several places and introduce new programming techniques and best practices in Elixir to the dev team. In this third year, I mentor new team members that are still new to Elixir / Phoenix and also work on fixing bugs, implement features, speed improvements, ...
