I work as a full-stack developer in the hotels B2B organization at TripAdvisor. I've also worked on a B2C engineering team focusing on hotels merchandising UI and UX. My responsibilities here include working with product managers, designers, and other engineers to develop new features for Tripadvisor users and hotel business owners. I work along our entire technology stack as required by each project. Some of my projects here have included:
•Integrated 3rd party APIs from Google and Facebook as part of a B2B SAAS product for hoteliers.
•Implemented a new responsive web design of the header for Hotel List pages using React web components, which was a fairly new technology to Tripadvisor at the time). Despite being a major structural change to the web page, this rolled out after the first iteration with no bugs or issues.
•Re-wrote old code to use new technologies (Microservices, React) according to internal guidelines to reduce friction in the development process.
•Coordinated with interdisciplinary teams around the world for projects like the pay-in-installments offer merchandising, video advertisements, adding sponsored placements in cross-sells.
•Organized and led a weekly "bug hunt" to reduce the number of live-site issues.
