Part of our current project is to develop a surveillance system to detect pedestrians over a large area of land using mobile robots. Few challenges are efficient object detection models that can run real-time tasks on embedded hardware, low light vision, resource constraints. I'm currently working to solve these problems using Machine Learning and Computer VIsion. • Optimizing object detection models such as YOLOv3 to perform well for real-time applications on small devices. • 3x improvement in the frame rate compared to the previous implementation on NVIDIA Jetson Nano. • Developed the documentation for the training pipeline of YOLO on custom datasets. ### Graduate Research Assistant @ UMD Department of Computer Science Jan 2019 – Jan 2020 | College Park - Worked on developing an autonomous navigation system for crowded areas using Inverse Reinforcement Learning. - Generated expert trajectories to train the model to extract optimal policies that perform better than existing Reinforcement Learning methods. ### Research Intern @ UMD Department of Computer Science Jan 2019 – Jan 2019 | College Park - Copyright systems and audio search engines use a combination of spectrograms, hashing, and querying a huge database to narrow down on already existing audio files. (Paper: https://www.ee.columbia.edu/~dpwe/papers/Wang03-shazam.pdf) - This project aims to fool some of these existing copyright systems using CNNs by generating adversarial examples with minimum perturbation. - This is done by adding a calculated amount of noise so as to retain the characteristics of the audio signal but fool the algorithm into thinking this particular clip is not in the database, exposing the vulnerabilities of some of these algorithms. ### Manager @ Reliance Industries Limited Jan 2016 – Jan 2018 | Mumbai Area, India -Ensuring reliable operation of mechanical equipment in the manufacturing plant through preventive maintenance.
