# Moses Mulwa > Software Engineer at Bloomberg Location: City Of London, England, United Kingdom Profile: https://flows.cv/mosesmulwa 👋🏽 Hi, I'm Moses Mulwa. I believe magic happens when ambition, beautiful design, and incredible technology join forces. I create things that impact people and communities. The central question that drives my work is "How can we live an exceptional life?" 🎓 Background in Electronic and Computer Engineering and focused on Software Engineering 🌇 Curious inventor, with a passion for creating solutions 📚 Software Engineer with deep expertise in building low-latency, high-throughput systems for real-time financial data analytics at Bloomberg. Experienced in designing and scaling Portfolio Analytics APIs that institutional clients use for live risk, performance, and exposure analysis. Strong focus on system reliability, API design, and performance optimization in latency-sensitive environments. Prior to Bloomberg, I engineered embedded software for nanosatellites at the Kenya Space Agency, applying rigorous systems thinking to mission-critical aerospace applications. Brings a cross-domain perspective and a passion for precision engineering in both finance and space systems. I have managed and seen significant projects to completion, most notably the design and implementation of a Nanosatellite on contract from the Kenya Space Agency. This was a student-led project which led to the creation of Kenya's 1st University Led Nanosatellite. It has applications in climate monitoring and disaster management. I have also worked with large teams integrating software and design to produce a viable final product. I have experience with the entire software lifecycle ranging from conception to production and deployment. 🏔 In my free time, I like to talk about the opportunities available in the tech space and attend hackathons. 💪🏽 Several qualities that I have that would be an asset to you are that I am a problem solver at my core. I find efficient and easy ways to tackle problems while maintaining a Human/End user-centered approach to the design. I am also flexible and have managed to work in several domains ranging from hardware development, software development, project management, and finally ensuring customer success. I thrive on collaboration and take inspiration from my passions. I have well-developed communication, public speaking, and leadership skills. ## Work Experience ### Software Engineer @ Bloomberg Jan 2023 – Present | London Area, United Kingdom Portfolio Analytics ### Full Stack Engineer @ Audemic Jan 2023 – Jan 2023 | London, England, United Kingdom ### Software Engineer @ Senga Technologies Jan 2022 – Jan 2023 | Nairobi, Kenya Developed a logistics platform to connect shippers with transporters and manage deliveries across 2 different categories - Managed a platform re-engineering project to improve and consolidate end-to-end solutions for logistics operations with 24/7 delivery tracking - Created customer-facing UX/UI Design Profiles across 2 different logistics services - Coordinated with 3 business teams to create a cohesive consumer-centered product ### Computer Engineering Intern @ Kenya Space Agency Jan 2021 – Jan 2021 | Nairobi, Kenya Led a team of university students to develop Kenya's 1st University-led Nanosatellite with applications in climate research and disaster management - Designed and implemented an onboard computing system, a communication and telemetry system for the Nanosatellite within an 8 month timeline - Fine-tuned Deep Learning models to analyze captured satellite images for forest fires with a 90% accuracy - Coordinated and merged 6 nanosatellite subsystems to develop the final cohesive product - Pioneered and researched on new ways of Long-Range communication using LoraWAN radios with re-transmission capacity for 100% delivery rate. ### Electrical Engineer Attaché @ POWER GROUP TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED Jan 2021 – Jan 2021 | Thika, Kenya I was stationed at the Safaricom Mobile Switch Room and Data Center in Thika.
