# Muneeb Ahmed > Test Lead | Mechanical Design | Apple Location: San Francisco Bay Area, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/muneebahmed As a mechanical and product design engineer with experience spearheading development of next-generation products from concept to manufacturing, I build on a strong leadership background, my design and analysis capabilities, and a penchant for steering mission-critical projects to introduce cutting-edge technologies. Throughout my career, I have leveraged state-of-the-art manufacturing processes, including injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining and laser cutting, to design plastic and metal parts. For instance, at Schlumberger, I am currently using the aforementioned techniques to develop next generation vibratory processing equipment aimed at reducing operation downtime and improving customer’s product efficiency. I also build and analyze finite element models and conduct statistical analyses to help optimize product design and manufacturing. For example, at Procter & Gamble, I created a MATLAB-based tool to differentiate low- and high-performing components. Through this effort, I pinpointed optimized 2D and 3D models of plastic parts for finite element analyses. With this simulation, I identified and recommended large-volume manufacturing of only robust parts, subsequently saving millions in potential cost.
