Principal Engineer in the Analytics & Reporting team at the Northern California Regional Labs, enabling them to move away from spreadsheet-based analytics to a more scalable and sustainable web-based application using .NET, MS-SQL, AI/ML models, and Tableau-based dashboards for executives.
I work with a team of Tableau, MS-SQL, Oracle, and .NET developers in designing, architecting, and developing AI/ML solutions; and also managing a team of 8 people who develop analytical dashboards with a .NET web front-end, Tableau-based drill-down reports, with data extracted and engineered from various lab applications that are in MS-SQL, Oracle, a Hadoop cluster,s Flat files, and other data sources.
I create visual and written specifications by analyzing various sources of data and spot trends among the data creating a descriptive and diagnostic narrative for executives.
I also develop Python-based AI/ML models using Prophet, ARIMA/SARIMAX, Linear Regression, and other CNN and RNN-based algorithms.
Interact with executives by consulting with them to collect requirements, take post-delivery feedback, and improvise dashboard development.

Safe Driver Prediction:
https://github.com/mu-mandayam/DataScience/tree/master/Safe_Driver_Prediction
Automobile drivers were classified as safe(1) or unsafe(0) using several binary classification models with Gradient Boosting giving the best performance overall with superior Precision-Recall scores. Models used were Decision-Tree, SVM, Stochastic Gradient Descent (SGD), Gradient Boosting and XGBoost with EDA, feature engineering, balancing datasets along with k-fold cross-validation.
Stock Price Forecasting:
https://github.com/mu-mandayam/DataScience/tree/master/Stock_Price_Forecast
Traditional (S)ARIMA methods were used on a time series data to establish a baseline. Statsmodel was used to generate linear predictions. Within (S)ARIMA a thorough grid search was performed and the best p, d and q values were established with ARIMA and Simple Moving Average. Also performed Linear Regression, Random Forest and LSTM models. LSTM had the best performance overall with the lowest RMSE number.

Cross-platform application development framework for desktop, mobile, and IoT devices.
Successfully created professional services group from scratch for global Finnish software company (that acquired Nokia’s Qt product in 2011).
Achieved significant revenue growth in the first year itself by increasing billing capacity and publishing a sales handbook that laid down standard operating procedures for the sales team to sell services; developed a scalable but flexible, fixed price, services products and pricing rubric that dramatically reduced sales cycles and enhanced company revenue.
Expanded global services team in the US, EMEA, and China internally through a matrix organization, and externally with services partners; managed services lifecycle including pre-sales, developing SOWs, master services agreement, project deliverables, and customer satisfaction; managed the P&L for the services group and built internal relationships across teams including R & D, Sales, Product Management, and Executives.
