• Program custom features and improvements to the sortation systems from scratch on Allen Bradley and Siemens TIA Portal.

• Work large scale extremely time-sensitive parcel sortation system projects, assign tasks to Junior Controls Engineers in my team, and keep track of utilization hours to ensure profitability and timely project completion.

• Understand electrical schematics, mechanical layouts, and customer requirements to develop Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLC programs for high-speed parcel sortation systems and conveyors.

• Led SCADA design on FactoryTalkView SE and ME for a sortation system developed for FedEx Express, which had great scalability, diagnostics, and remote alarm surveillance, enabling FedEx to troubleshoot and maintain the system efficiently with low downtime.

• Work with electrical engineers and software developers to define I/O addressing, wiring, networking, and communication interfaces between field devices, PLCs, and PCs.

• Perform on-site commissioning, integrate sortation system with WCS and external vendor equipment (Caljans, Feeding Conveyors), and conduct SAT/FAT testing.

• Perform standby support to troubleshoot and fix issues in high-stress situations to minimize downtime.

• Worked on developing the Festo gantry robot for implementation on the Beumer Singulators to make the sorter completely autonomous.

• Taught an undergraduate level class, concepts on PLC programming and automation using Siemens PLCs and IDEC controllers.

• Evaluated projects, reports and helped the professor conduct lab experiments at the graduate and undergraduate levels.

• Helped students understand and build on basic concepts of PLCs, fundamental mathematics techniques, and how they function in modern machine controls.

• Developed SCADA screens for eight water treatment plants using GE Proficy and ICONICS GraphWorx, which also had a remote control, enabling continuous operation without the need for an operator to be on-site always. Resulting in the 24/7 functionality of the plant.

• Integrated and programmed Allen Bradley PLCs for automated water treatment and developed SCADA systems for water distribution systems in Upstate NY and Maryland.

• Worked on Allen Bradley PLCs for testing SCADA screens for advanced machine control and functionality based on requirements for the various water treatment plants.
