Co-creator of Starfleet | Command-Line utility to generate GraphQL projects and deploy testing environments via Docker

- Created a command line tool that scaffolds a GraphQL service based on existing MongoDB models (via mongoose) by leveraging a mix of external libraries and writing custom scripts to generate resolver functions to give the service CRUD functionality in order to reduce friction of adopting - GraphQL among existing projects and accelerate the development cycle for those already familiar with MongoDB

- Added ability to deploy projects to Docker by dynamically generating Docker config files, pulling down stable images from Dockerhub, and spinning up multiple containers in order  to give developers the ability to test their GraphQL API in a standardized environment

- Developed a Jest testing suite to programatically check for expected outputs and ensure functionality for each sub-command and option 
- Managed team GitHub repository, reviewed all pull requests for breaking changes, and facilitated code reviews resolved merge conflicts

### VirtualGroove | Streaming media player with algorithm based music recommendation @ Open Source

- Architected multiple microservices to power a streaming video playing app consisting of AWS Lambda functions handling authentication, a Node.js server to handle API requests, and RabbitMQ message brokers to add tasks asynchronously to a pre-compute queue
 
- Routed API calls through  a GraphQL gateway and utilized Socket.io to push server-generated updates to the client in real-time

- Wrote a recommendation algorithm that calculates similarity coefficients for Spotify API song metrics to find the closest match. Data is saved to a PostgreSQL instance deployed on AWS RDS
