Thanks for looking. ## Work Experience ### Senior Software Engineer @ H-E-B Jan 2022 – Present - Created a Java Application to allow SF to interact and pull data from HEB's Order System allowing for support engineers to easily help out customer with orders - Architectured a streaming solution to allow for order data to flow from a GCP topic into an MSK topic which led to brokering in an event-driven system architecture vs a rest driven architecture - Rebuilt an order record system that utilizes DynamoDB to allow for quicker response times and broken down functionality which led to an increase in developer productivity - Worked with multiple teams to create a solution to allow for order cancellations so the services would be easier to maintain and would have lesser responsibilities - Pushed for a new testing standard & pattern that allowed for more confident releases and ease for other engineers to extend and add on to the testing pattern - Integrated a Terraform Cloud pipeline solution to allow for easier maintainability and more confident deployment patterns when having to work with infrastructure changes - Worked cross team engineers to develop solutions due to drastic time commitments from other teams, allowing for progress to be made without sacrificing other initiatives - Instrumented SASL/SCRAM authentication for MSK to allow for more secure connections and control on what a certain consumer/publisher can do. - Created and advocated for a cert environment to allow for backend teams to safely test their features to allow for more confident releases before deploying to stage - Helped determine current substitution flows amongst web, android and iOS engineer and communicated with multiple teams to allow for customers to choose a backup item if their primary item is out of stock - Assisted a developers in learning testing patterns and deployment patterns, documenting patterns for re-use. - Created a multi-tenant service for ingesting order data - Helped send third party delivery data across teams to allow for third party companies to deliver orders ### Senior Software Engineer, Analytics Engineering @ BuzzFeed Jan 2021 – Jan 2022 - Implemented dwell time on all BuzzFeed, Huffpost and Complex Network content as well as aggregating the data into varying layers for our analysts. - Organized analytical data and exported it to a BI tool for usage. - Integrated Huffpost and Complex Network data when both entities were acquired via message queues, tasks and GCP services/apis. ### Full Stack Engineer @ U.GG Jan 2020 – Jan 2021 • Brought forth a service that sends real time notifications so users can see match data once a game is completed as well as have updated real time data and data sooner than competitors. • Architected a new payments micro-service in Node to handle payments via Braintree and introduced Paypal as a new payment option. • Led development on migrating data to Postgres to allow for faster reads and filtering. I also set up Contentful (CMS) in the middleware to send data to the front end. - Set up a testing framework using Selenium, Phantomjs, Mocha and Chai as well as created a stage in the CI pipeline to run BDD tests manually. - Integrated animation css into certain web components and updated the sass as the app changed over time. - Developed components and endpoints for the sandbox environment that allowed for the user to send FX commands to the FX server for testing purposes. - Incorporated Vue filters to allow filtering of data within the front-end. - Created endpoints that exported the documentation for the app as a pdf. - Integrated alerts into the app that to alert the user if a http request was successful or not. - Created an endpoint that sent a password request email and generated a token for the user to reset their password.
