# Natasha John > Product Designer | AI-Powered Products | End-to-End UX & Design Systems | Helping Startups Scale Location: San Francisco Bay Area, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/natashajohn Product Designer with 3+ years of experience in scaling startups. My experience spans both early-stage and growth-stage products across B2B and B2C, with a solid thread of AI throughout. I bring end-to-end UX, scalable design systems, and strong craft to every stage of the journey. I've shipped products used by thousands of users, driven a 77% conversion rate on a global tutoring platform, and designed AI-assisted workflows handling tens of millions of documents. I work fluidly across product, engineering, and AI/ML teams, and I'm comfortable owning design from zero to launch and beyond. ## Work Experience ### Product Designer @ DecoverAI Jan 2025 – Present DecoverAI is a B2B AI-powered legal intelligence platform that helps law firms cut down hours of manual review. It’s processed over 30 million documents and contributed to more than $15M in settlements by speeding up discovery and research. I owned the end-to-end design of AI-assisted workflows that surfaced critical events across large document sets, explained how the AI reached its conclusions, and provided source-level attribution. This enabled legal teams to confidently interpret and act on AI-generated insights more efficiently. I also led UX design for an AI-powered document review system by mapping legal review journeys, prototyping auto-tagging workflows, and collaborating with product and engineering to design agentic AI experiences that analyze and tag large case files. This enabled legal teams to identify relevant documents faster and reduce manual review effort. Additionally, I redesigned legal document ingestion workflows for large, multi-source case files, enabling faster document review. ### Product Designer @ Talkster Jan 2025 – Jan 2025 Talkster was an early-stage voice and AI product helping blue- and gray-collar workers in India build confidence in spoken English for everyday and professional communication. I led the 0→1 product launch, owning end-to-end UX design, establishing the design system and UI, and shaping core learning experiences across fluency, grammar, and vocabulary. I designed social and conversational learning experiences combining voice input with AI-guided scenarios, enabling users to practice through realistic conversation. Built through rapid iteration and close collaboration with engineering, the experience was piloted with 150–200 early users and received ~90% positive feedback. I also partnered cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and AI/ML teams to design practice and feedback flows that analyze spoken responses and deliver personalized, gamified guidance that adapts over time. ### Product Designer @ Lessonpal Jan 2023 – Jan 2025 | San Francisco Bay Area Lessonpal was the most affordable global tutoring platform, linking thousands of students with tutors worldwide across 1200+ subjects to make personalized learning easy and accessible. Sadly, despite our amazing community and mission to make tutoring more accessible, Lessonpal’s model proved unsustainable, and the company closed its doors in September 2025. I owned the end-to-end design of discovery, booking, and purchase experiences for 9000+ tutors. I led user research, customer journey mapping, and high-fidelity prototyping, contributing to a 77% conversion rate across core flows. I partnered closely with product, engineering, and customer support teams to streamline booking and engagement experiences, aligning user needs with business goals and reducing tutor no-shows to under 5%. I also conceptualized, designed, and launched growth initiatives including a referral program and programmatic landing pages, driving 20,000+ new user sign-ups in three months and increasing organic traffic 10x through SEO optimization. ### Research Assistant @ UC Davis Center for Mind and Brain Jan 2019 – Jan 2021 | Davis, California Contributed to the Jingle Project, studying how advertisements across decades evoke memory and nostalgia. Investigated whether musical stimuli (jingles) uniquely enhance memory recall compared to verbal slogans and visual logos. Administered cognitive assessments and recruited participants for studies. ## Education ### Bachelor of Science - BS in Cognitive Science, Neuroscience University of California, Davis ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/natashajohndesign --- Source: https://flows.cv/natashajohn JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/natashajohn/resume.json Last updated: 2026-04-13
