I’m a Software Engineer based in Chicago. My specialty is front end web but I’ve also worked with cross-platform and native mobile apps, backend APIs, and continuous integration tools. I’m always looking to sharpen or learn new skills.

What drives me is applying my experience in software development to help people. This includes building products that meet accessibility standards for users, writing code and documentation fellow developers can understand, and leveraging tools and automation to improve workflows. It also means supporting, teaching and mentoring others. All software is built with and for people so it’s my mission to keep people at the center of everything I do.

Cellcom is a wireless communications company dedicated to hometown values and outstanding customer service. We provide wireless solutions that help people stay connected around the world right from their very own backyard.

I worked on designing and developing an Android application that monitored cell phone signal strength, cell tower information, and location to be logged and sent back to Cellcom for coverage analysis.

• Application was developed using native Android
• Made use of SQLite database to store collected data
• Used GPS, Cell-ID, and Wi-Fi to determine location
• Sent and received data over HTTP
• Wrote an XML parser and serializer to handle data formatting over HTTP
