RCPS is focused on developing algorithms and tools for designing Cyber-Physical Systems and Internet-of-Things (IoT) driven by Artificial Intelligence (AI). The lab strives to improve the resilience, security, and privacy of these systems. As an undergraduate student researcher, my role is:

• Applied policy-gradient algorithms to guarantee safety during the learning and execution phase.

• Integrated methods in OpenAI’s Safety Gym simulator for performance measure and debugging.

• Researched variants of policy gradient algorithms such as PPO, TRPO, DDPG with constraints and their application to safety reinforcement learning.

• Conducted extensive research on robotic simulators for benchmarking algorithms that guarantee safety.

• Developed a skillset identifier feature with Spacy’s named entity recognition pipeline combined with Emsi Skill API, helping users discover hidden skills in their resumes.

• Implemented Redux with React to add global data accessibility and easily monitor changes across the application, reducing debugging time by thirty percent.

• Migrated to Typescript to improve readability and debugging in the codebase.

• Reduced performance bottlenecks and code overhead using Redux, improving data accessibility across features and preventing unnecessary re-renders.

• Developed a full-stack analytics application using React and D3.js-based React libraries for the data science team to analyze various datasets in different visual components.

• Led the refactorization of our application to support a micro-frontend architecture with Single SPA, decoupling the codebases and adding flexibility for backend engineers to develop independent teams around the business logic.

• Architected backend with Django and RESTful API to stream data to frontend for dynamic data visualizations.
