# Neal Shulman 🎙️ > Founder & CEO 👉 Guest on 10+ podcasts every month at PodPitch.com 🔹 For founders, entrepreneurs, and agencies! Location: San Francisco, California, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/nealshulman I build, scale, and optimize businesses at the intersection of technology, media, and commerce. Currently, I’m the co-founder of PodPitch, a SaaS platform revolutionizing how PR agencies and brands land podcast placements with AI-powered personalization and smart automation. Before that, I built, fundraised at an 8-figure valuation, and sold two eCommerce companies. My experience spans across eCommerce, SaaS, and AI-driven sales automation, with a focus on product development, growth marketing, and operational efficiency. I’ve led teams, built customer acquisition pipelines from scratch, and developed B2B solutions that drive revenue and streamline workflows. Beyond building companies, I thrive on solving complex problems: whether it’s optimizing outreach strategies, refining SaaS pricing models, or crafting seamless customer experiences. My background includes deep work in cold email automation, data enrichment, and CRM integrations, which power the sales engines behind my ventures. Responsible for most profitable product in the brand within 4 months of beginning position. Increased company ARR by 50%. • Designed and developed the best-selling blister bandage ever sold on Amazon • Developed unique customer sentiment data aggregation techniques to quickly innovate and improve competitor products • Developed & run custom trendspotting algorithms for product ideation • Design custom QA/QC & testing criteria • Source (internationally and domestically), receive product samples, and design numerical and organoleptic evaluations for testing • Continually design and run polling using DOE technique to optimize target metrics (CTR, etc) • Storyboard all marketing materials and direct graphic design team • Lead strategy for supporting teams: graphic design, marketing, customer service, copywriting, sourcing, and retail. • Implemented scalable B2B lead generation strategy to reach thousands of stores using automated scraping and cold-emailing services ### Product Design and Development Engineer @ Arizona State University Jan 2017 – Jan 2018 | Phoenix, Arizona Area Working with Dr. Rafiqul Islam of Intel, ASU, and Cactus Materials, I led a team of undergraduates, graduate students, and a postdoc that is attempting to develop a first-to-market ‘industrializable’ process of manufacturing graphene (single atomic layer of carbon) coatings. I personally hand-built a Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) machine, conceptualized the deposition chemistries and process flow, and secured and ordered our precursor supply chain. I oversaw the launch of our first processing run on nickel foil in early January– successful, but not perfect. Since then, I’ve massively optimized the manufacture by heavy failure analysis and QC work through DOE-based analysis, aided by Tunneling Electron Microscopy (TEM) and RAMAN Spectra imaging. Not only are we successfully growing graphene, but I have also generated novel processing conditions that yield 10% reduction in energy, 15% increase in throughput, and 8% increase in quality. JMP & Tableau heavily utilized for process optimization design & roadmapping. ### Dry Etch Engineering - Semiconductor Development & Optimization @ IM Flash Jan 2017 – Jan 2017 | Greater Salt Lake City Area IM Flash is a joint venture of Intel and Micron, manufacturing semiconductor-integrated circuity. I was responsible for optimizing the robotically-aided manufacture of three plasma-induced reactive ion etching steps of Intel’s 3D Crosspoint memory technology. I designed DOE-based optimization analysis to completely re-write their manufacturing ‘recipes’ via lean manufacturing principles to minimize necessary testing materials and maximize experimental data generation, and successfully implemented optimizations. I interpreted and processed data using advanced Excel, JMP, and self-designed modeling based in learned chemistries and statistics. I vastly improved manufacturing: increased center-to-edge deposition (silicon wafer quality) by 30% and increased throughput by 50% in responsible areas. To double my time and increase my productivity, I soft-coded a program to type out and submit manufacturing process variations from a script for me while I continued other work on a separate computer. Due to the project’s short timeline, I grew excellent time management skills. ### Full-Time Research Assistant - Laboratory for Emerging & Applied Nanomaterials @ Washington University in St. Louis Jan 2016 – Jan 2016 | Saint Louis, Missouri Working under Dr. Parag Banerjee, I researched piezoelectrics and thin films in his Laboratory for Emerging & Applied Nanomaterials (L.E.A.N.). Solely responsible for our exciting Corning® Willow® Flexible Glass project: the design, implementation, and optimization of a piezoelectric thin-film device. I designed & synthesized BiOCl nanoparticles (NPs) using SILAR, designed and synthesized our PET/ITO bilayer purposed for cathode/anode, and I applied NPs to PET/ITO & assembled the device. Most significantly, the lab was lacking funding to purchase a machine to test the device: I decided to teach myself CAD and designed a Guided & Free Bend machine, constructing it using machined parts and re-purposed motors. The machine is customizable due to a mathematically-modeled series of differently-sized ellipses that control rotation. I saved the lab > $50,000 in machine costs and it is currently still in use. Electroanalysis proved successful piezoelectricity! ## Education ### Materials Science & Engineering in Barrett, The Honors College Arizona State University ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/nealshulman - Portfolio: https://podpitch.com --- Source: https://flows.cv/nealshulman JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/nealshulman/resume.json Last updated: 2026-03-25
