### Software Engineer Intern @ Thought Machine

• Designed and developed a Consumer Proxy using Kafka, Go and gRPC to address the partition scalability and head-of-line blocking issues inherent to Kafka, improving infrastructure scalability for Thought Machine, a Series D-backed core native banking technology company.
• Project execution adhered to an Agile methodology, including daily standup meetings for collaborative idea discussions with the rest of the team. Proxy design received very positive feedback upon presentation to senior engineers.
• Initially tested the proxy using mocks, and later, comprehensive end-to-end tests after successfully deploying the proxy on Kubernetes.

• Was invited to participate in Google’s Summer Insights program, an initiative aimed at promoting diversity in the tech industry. Collaborated with a diverse range of professionals, including technical and non-technical experts.
• Explored several facets of the tech industry, gaining valuable insights into the challenges faced by various communities, providing a holistic understanding of the industry and reinforcing the importance of diversity and inclusion in shaping its future.

Technology, Data & Innovation (TDI) Spring into Banking Programme
• Developed complex PostgreSQL queries for cloud databases using Cloud SQL on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Gained insight into how GCP is integrated with Deutsche Bank's infrastructure, seeing first-hand the primary advantages of cloud computing, namely enhanced efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
• Learned about the role technology plays in investment banking and how Deutsche Bank’s partnership with Google will help increase productivity for the bank.
