Senior Software Engineer at Hiro Systems, ex-Opensea (one of the first 20 employees), ex-Microsoft
I am a full-stack software engineer who is deeply passionate about technology. I truly feel spoiled to be alive right now, during a time when so there are so many cool, sci-fi technologies in development, that are mere years, or maybe a decade away, from completely changing how people live and the world operates: AI,...
Helping build and expand container monitoring solutions for Microsoft Azure Kubernetes services.
● Delivered an enterprise level software product, from inception to completion, in a little over a year. GA-ed Container Insights (CI) for Azure Monitor in time to showcase it at KubeCon.
● Contribute heavily on the UI, building UI components (side panes, grids, selection controls, toggles, etc.), perfecting page layout and styling, adding accessibility, querying, transforming, and visualizing data, etc.
● In one month created the UI for a multi-cluster health view that enables users to quickly see a list of their clusters.
● Rigged up the build and release pipelines for CI services. Manage weekly deployments of Azure bits.
● Deployed CI infrastructure and code into the Chinese national cloud.
● Delivered Health for KubeCon 2019, a new UI that abstracts a health model from Kubernetes health signals to help users spot issues on their clusters faster.
● Developed a new Azure extension and migrated my team’s service over to it. My work drastically improved my team’s development environment, decreased long-term maintenance risks, and improved app load times.
● Overhauled team’s collection of workbooks to take advantage of new workbook features that improved load times by well over 50%, and by making workbooks compatible with all cluster types was able to cut the number of workbooks my team maintains in half.
