As an experienced team lead and versatile full-stack developer, I've worked passionately to help to build and cultivate high performing teams and craft highly maintainable and scalable custom software. I have a penchant for XP practices such as pair programming and TDD and have worked broadly across numerous languages and frameworks. I love collaborating closely with Product+Design and being close to the end user, and so naturally feel at home with Javascript, Typescript, and React.

Prior to my journey into software, I spent a number of years in China, where I developed a high degree of fluency in Mandarin, received an MA in Public Policy from one of the countries top schools, and had a front seat to the near constant change of life in a rapidly developing country. In particular, I was captured by the myriad ways in which technology was transforming and impacting so many lives. As I work as a developer, I am reminded of this transformative power and the responsibility that goes along with it.

Beyond the codes, I also have a keen interest in public-interest technology, international development, and social justice. Catch me in the kitchen, rock climbing in the gym / out IRL somewhere, or playing with my daughter Phoebe!
