# Nicholas Johnson > Senior Software Engineer at MITRE Location: Greater Boston, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/nicholasjohnson About: I’m a passionate learner that believes strongly in utilizing technology and innovation to solve complex challenges and create the most benefit to our everyday lives. Project Based Learning: I’m currently studying Robotics Engineering and Computer Science at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). One of things I like most about my studies at WPI is the focus on project-based learning with a balance of employing theory and practice. As a Research Assistant in the WPI NEST Lab with Professor Carlo Pinciroli, I’m studying swarm robotics – programming the test world and creating collective recognition of spatial patterns using python to program algorithms. This research is one example of the robotics leadership that WPI offers internationally. Other examples of projects include the virtual Enigma machine that I created at WPI’s London HUA Project Center for a course that allowed me to combine my interests in history and technology. Specialties: Some of my skills and areas of specialty include: website management, robot automation, world generation and testing, programming in Java, Python, C#. And I do these things with lots of hard work and enthusiasm! Looking For: I’m looking for a challenging position where I can follow my passion for programming and robotics engineering with an opportunity to provide value to a team and organization. ## Work Experience ### Senior Software Engineer @ MITRE Jan 2024 – Present ### Intermediate Software Engineer @ MITRE Jan 2021 – Jan 2024 ### Associate Software Engineer @ MITRE Jan 2020 – Jan 2021 ### Intern @ Federal Government Jan 2019 – Jan 2020 ### Software Engineering Intern @ Datto, Inc.
