Hello, my name is Nicholas. I am a full stack web developer and I am excited to focus on UX and building websites that are simple and easy to use.

I aspire to be the best software engineer possible. No matter the situation I keep in mind to be consistent in who I am and everything I set my mind on. Always up for self and peer improvement no matter the scale. I previously taught a class of about 30 introduction to java programming students. The purpose of my class is to reinforce the learning the students have in their current java class by going over concepts they went over in class. I would also introduce new concepts they would learn in their own class, so they can be ahead in their class. I created lesson plans depending on the current topic learned in their introduction class. This would include a small refresher of the concepts, warm up sheets and with time put away for questions or extra help they would need.

I previously was a mentor for a group of biology students in the PINC program.  The PINC, or Promoting Inclusivity in Computing program is trying to include Computer Science to other majors starting with Biology students. Each team would be comprised of three or four students and would choose a project topic they would want to pursue. My duty as a mentor was to be responsible for a team of biology students and help them through their journey of developing and writing software.  I would provide suggestions, direction, as well as providing emotional and technical support to these students as they continued their desired project.
