Chronos is an open-source, easy-to-deploy event capturing framework built with NodeJS, Apache Kafka, TimescaleDB, and PipelineDB.

As part of a remote, two person team, we:
- Created a front end tracker which automated event capturing and sent the data to a NodeJS API server
- Optimized the tracker by reducing size of events to increase payload by over 100%
- Created a back-end pipeline by implementing an Apache Kafka cluster which sent event data to two time-series databases: TimescaleDB and PipelineDB
- Containerized back-end with Docker in order to abstract complication of system configuration
- Created a CLI to run the system to abstract difficulties with using Docker commands and handle race conditions

I developed open-source web applications with technologies such as React, Node, Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, JavaScript, Ruby, HTML, and CSS, including:

- a Trello clone built using React with Redux on the front-end and Rails 5 on the back-end. It supports creating, editing, and deleting boards, lists, labels, due dates and cards.
- a contact manager application that allows you to add, edit, delete, and tag contacts. The front-end was built in JavaScript with jQuery as well as Handlebars for templating
- a Reddit clone which allows you to add, edit, delete, upvote, and downvote posts. You can also create and log into accounts
- a guessing game where the objective is to guess a word with a set number of tries
