As the technical owner for Uplift's essential Point of Sale and Marketing APIs, I've played a pivotal role in generating approximately $5 million in loans daily across 300 travel merchants, including industry giants like United Airlines, Southwest Airlines, and Carnival Cruise Lines. My leadership ensured seamless integration and execution of loan application processes and promotional offers across various platforms, including web, travel agent solutions, and mobile SDKs.
I implemented the transformation of the Point of Sale service from a monolithic structure to a scalable microservice architecture, enhancing scalability and speeding up feature development. This involved designing, building, and integrating new microservices. My responsibilities also extended to being on-call for critical downtimes, leading recovery efforts, and conducting post-mortems.
I designed and maintained Uplift’s Secure Disbursement Service and Mobile SDK service, ensuring secure payment delivery and facilitating native mobile app usage. Additionally, I created a Centralized Configuration Service to deliver real-time, low-latency configurations, significantly boosting efficiency and minimizing downtime.
I offered vital API support to merchant development teams, advising on best practices and ensuring effective service integration. My work included streamlining operations through automation scripts for data migrations and tasks, improving operational efficiency.
In project management, I led feature deployments for significant company-wide projects, requiring coordinated efforts across multiple teams, and facilitated partnership product launches with major travel merchants.
I managed a distributed team of 9 engineers, ensuring milestone achievement and high code quality. I oversaw an overseas team for mobile SDK development, enhancing functionality and user experience. My commitment to mentorship has fostered an environment of continuous learning among junior engineers.
