Acted as Senior Engineer on a greenfield Microservices team responsible for paving a road to breaking up a Django monolith over a 3-5 year period.

As first FT engineering hire, built out initial suite of HIPAA-compliant internal tools, helping scale the company from 10 to 500+ employees, primarily in a Django monolith.
Designed and led development on automated FHIR-compliant diagnostic lab ordering system.
Helped architect departure from Django-based internal tools in favor of micro-frontends in response to exponential growth of customer base (100 to 10,000+) and growing engineering team.
Responsible for setting up and maintaining various integrations (member chat, email notifications, appointment scheduling, medication management and surveys)

Sole Full Stack Engineer on the Media Supply Chain team
Responsible for building out front and back ends of a client-facing app for interacting with an end-to-end video processing system. Features include:
Viewing DRM’ed video and live streams, customizable widget dashboard for displaying metrics, ability to query data, start video processing jobs via upload or remote file selection, design job templates, and send out maintenance notifications
Extensive use of AWS services including DynamoDB, Lambda (backed by Node), Cognito, CloudFormation, ElasticBeanstalk, CodeCommit, CodePipeline and API Gateway
Built out an extensive REST API using Lambda and API Gateway for CRUD and data processing purposes
Acquired fluency in video technologies (including DRM)
Set up Django as an authentication back end tied to a React front end, later swapped for AWS Cognito
