I'm known for my transparent, collaborative, and guerrilla approach to design and prototyping, and bring this approach to both my personal and professional work. In 2014, I redesigned the parking sign. Since then, nine cities have piloted it including Los Angeles, New Haven, and Brisbane. It's shown a 60% improvement in compliance and has energized drivers and traffic officials around the world. I regularly share my work at conferences like the Gel Conference, BrooklynJS, and with product design teams at various companies. Streamlined Use of Force reporting and implemented new Case management tools for investigators, improving police efficiency. I worked on hardware and software projects, from system-level to interface-level designs. Results contributed to a more nuanced understanding of what it means to design people-centered cities using today's technologies. ### Creator and Designer @ To Park or Not to Park Jan 2014 – Jan 2017 | New York, NY A guerrilla parking sign redesign project that inspired cities around the world to rethink the parking sign. • Piloted in 9 cities worldwide including LA, Brisbane, and New Haven. • Compliance skyrocketed with up to a 60% improvement at sites with historically poor compliance. This resulted in less confusion and fewer parking fines for motorists. • 63% of respondents requested a wider roll-out which was completed in 2018. • Improvements resulted in fewer disruptions to bus services and to the flow of general traffic. • Businesses reported greater turnover, which provides their customers with easier access to parking. ### Independent Interaction Designer and Prototyper @ Self-Employed Jan 2013 – Jan 2017 | New York, NY Prototyped physical and digital interactions, led user research, testing, and product strategy.
