Contribute and lead a part of the group of very high-scale, resilient and RESTful backend microservices for Commercial
and Consumer Licensing that provide licenses to Microsoft customers. The responsibilities include:
Designing and implementing new features with e2e testing to support business needs for higher revenue and impact.
Maintaining security through regular pipeline deployments to fix vulnerabilities in container images and nodes.
Creating CI/CD pipelines for deploying to public and sovereign clouds along with automated Azure ARM templates.
Contributing to the on-call rotations to support 4 9s reliability with troubleshooting and debugging production issues.
Improve the observability solution for CELS services through Log Analytics workspace-based monitors/alerts, metrics-based alerts/monitors, outside-in monitoring using Synthetic tests, and efficient logging for services.
Led cross-team collaboration to reduce operational costs by $30K annually for Microsoft’s digital fulfillment flow
entailing the redesign of the architecture, creating/updating APIs, integration testing, creating dashboards/monitors.
Drove revenue $17M monthly by leading end-to-end responsibilities - encompassing design, development, security
compliance & privacy, and successful deployment of new digital attach service flows for Microsoft business.
Engineered an outside-in observability solution for high-scale Commerce production services to prevent impact by failing
over traffic based on reliability metrics thus preventing major business impact.
Reduced production database cost to 55 percent by running an Azure Synapse pipeline using CosmosDb connector to delete stale data from a database of about 18TB.
Stack: Azure Kubernetes, service mesh using Istio, Powershell/Bash, Helm, CosmosDb NoSQL database,
ATM traffic manager routing, Azure monitoring, Logging solutions, Distributed systems.
2019 — 2020
Redmond, Washington
Implemented a large-scale load testing environment from the ground up, employed across multiple services to ensure
system preparedness for peak traffic events and new launches.
Designed and implemented REST APIs for a microservice that mints certificates used by Istio Kubernetes clusters.
Developed a Kubernetes agent that renews trust domain certificates automatically for production clusters.
Designed a validation pipeline with cross-team effort to perform E2E tests on clusters before production deployment.
