• Worked as a pro-bono consultant with an NGO named Nav Prabhuti Trust (NPT), a vocational training center for Autistic young adults to identified key challenges.
• Conducted a scoping workshop to explore opportunities aimed at helping the special mothers and the young adults have financial independence, mapped potential solutions, and developed a work plan.
• Performed online research and held meetings with similar organizations to gather deeper insights.
• Created a draft proposal, discussed it with stakeholders, and iterated until the solution was refined.
• Project outcome: Successfully implemented a self-help group model focusing on block prints and small sized catering for special mothers to help them start their own business involving their children and become financially independent in the society. This project was showcased by the American Chamber of Commerce India as a part of SAP’s Social Sabbatical program.
• The final deliverable was a handbook which included 4 phases of the self-help group model and 4 phases of business model spread across a period of 18 months and 2 years respectively.•
