I’m happiest building software that helps people stay organized, express their ideas, and make informed decisions. I admire tools that respect our time and attention. Through intentional design choices, I want to help people drop into a focused state more often. I’m drawn to platforms that help us organize ideas, solve problems, manage our wellbeing, and live full, embodied lives.

On product teams, I can hold the perspectives of technology, business and product stakeholders, and stay attuned to teammates throughout the design process so that the end product feels cohesive and usable :)

I worked within an Agile UX team to conceptualize, build and maintain a wide range of digital technologies that enhance student and instructor academic and social life.

- Conducted user research to test the usability of a new MyUW Interface
- Created a promotional video for one of our tools, "Scout"
- Conducted user research and designed front-end UI of notification tool that connects students with leftover food after campus events.
- Independently conducted interviews with students to uncover pain-points in their process of choosing a Study Abroad program. Provided the Study Abroad Office with actionable recommendations for changes to their current website.
- Re-Designed how FIGs (First-Year Interest Groups) are displayed in MyPlan (UW's course planning tool). Usability-tested changes with students. Worked with developers to scope recommendations into actionable chunks within technical constraints.
- Prototyped representations of mock user data in the admin view of MyUW in order to streamline to debugging and feature-testing (using HTML, CSS, Javascript)
- Developed skills in wire-framing, high-fidelity mockups, user research, front-end development, and collaboration within a tight-knit team

During my internship at Donor Swell, I worked with Corinne Cavanaugh, President of Donor Swell, to build a web tool that nonprofit organizations can use to receive custom recommendations about which social media platforms they should pursue, with advice for how to use each medium.

This process involved leading a focus group with nonprofits to determine multiple directions, brainstorming possible digital tools that could help nonprofits, creating wireframes and low-fidelity mockups, and using Python, HTML, CSS and Bootstrap to build the Web Application.
