Software Engineering role primarily focused on the React tech stack.
This role and team is part of the Global Exploitation (GXP) product from BAE. A complex Maps/GIS/Intelligence product that allows clients to integrate disparate geospatial data sources to analyze geospatial data.
The team is a deliverables team primarily focused on building new components reusable across the codebase, as well as front end computation services to reduce strain on the backend servers.
My role has so far been focused on easing the tech debt present in the product. This includes building custom hooks to reduce the reliance on redux and refactoring components and services to make them more universally usable across the codebase.
San Francisco Bay Area
Develop workflows for business partners which automatically pull documents from internal databases and extract key information using Optical Character Recognition (OCR).
Full Stack development of webapps for business partners using Javascript, React, Node.js/Express, and MongoDB.
Built/Managed process automation of key bank processes (ex. Visa Recon Process) using Python and custom techniques and algorithms.
Managed projects involving the Robotic Process Automation of various processes in FRB’s Lending and Loan Servicing departments.
Sourced projects and gathered business requirements for most of my own projects, as well as projects for other developers on the team.
Transferred a large portion of the Bank’s forms to DocuSign for ease of use during COVID work from home period.
Utilized Instabase Optical Character Recognition suite for development of programs to automatically read bank forms such as K-1s and Brokerage Statements.
Developed excel macros for process efficiency and outlook programs for email data scraping.
