Designed, implemented, and shipped Nuvo's integration with NetSuite, enabling timely and accurate accounts receivable information to be displayed to credit managers. Shipped a task queue service using the ARQ library with Redis, with static type checking at the service interface, a dead letter queue, and a full featured dashboard, enabling both faster development and less latency in the core application

Worked on credit card clearing to ensure Stripe and its merchants received funds timely and reliably, and shipped transaction holds in Stripe's next generation Java stack. Investigated and resolved numerous gnarly merchant facing race conditions, reduced the p99 latency of a major Kafka consumer by 85%, and greatly alleviated the team's run burden by automating away common and repetitive tasks and building better tooling

Migrated a backend service to gRPC in production, proving the correctness of the new gRPC service through rigorous tests and demonstrating a p99 latency reduction of 80% using metrics and detectors on SignalFx. Accomplished the gRPC migration in production with zero downtime as part of the Account Services team, in support of Stripe's move towards a microservices architecture built upon Java
Built a tax data computation pipeline using Scala, Spark, and Airflow as part of the Tax Reporting team. Implemented a user facing 1099 data export API despite numerous scaling challenges.
