# Oluwajomiloju Olaode > Software Engineer at Cityblock Health Location: Buffalo Grove, Illinois, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/oluwajomiloju Software Engineer with a love for contributing to open source projects and a focus in Node, React, Vue, and Express. In my spare time, I like to bake fudgy chocolate chip cookies, eat hotpot with friends, and watch D&D campaigns. Publication by Medium “Open Source: A Walkthrough of OverVue V2” Recent speaker at Singlesprout’s Tech Talk speaker series on “OverVue of Vue” Github: https://github.com/jojuolaode ## Work Experience ### Senior Software Engineer @ Cityblock Health Jan 2021 – Present ### Software Engineer @ Cityblock Health Jan 2021 – Jan 2021 ### Software Engineer @ Codesmith Jan 2020 – Jan 2020 | New York, United States • Implemented TDD (Jest, Enzyme, and Supertest) with a suite of integration, snapshot, and unit tests, utilizing URLstubbing and HTTP server mocking, to ensure application reliability, clean integration of additional features, and optimization throughout the public site. • Integrated SendGrid API to automate dynamic, custom emails to clients for various stages of their application and event-related reminders. • Utilized Docker to develop applications in a containerized environment, thereby improving development workflow and code integration. • Onboarded and mentored teams of engineers in the open-source community through ideation, development, and deployment of applications built with React, Node.js, and SQL on their code review process and team dynamics to ensure successful product launches. • Conducted technical interviews for potential residents of the Software Engineering Immersive Program focusing on JavaScript knowledge, technical communication, analytical problem solving, debugging skills, and overall cultural fit. ### Software Engineer @ OverVue Jan 2020 – Jan 2020 | New York, United States • Utilized Vue/Vuex to allow users the flexibility of having a 1:1 ratio of uploaded mockup-image per route. This was implemented by creating new actions/mutations and modifying the way in which uploaded images were stored in the state thus allowing users to not only save their project’s mockup images but also import them from a saved project as well. • Used Vue directives in order to take advantage of its low -level access to DOM manipulation which provides added responsiveness of the application to user interactions, particularly in the case of importing mockup images and changing the display of component HTML in real-time. • Implemented Quasar responsive web components to ensure seamless user experience overall, specifically in conjunction with Electron, and due to its out of the box dead code elimination. • Integrated JS test-suites to test the effects of mutations and actions on the state and ensure proper mutations for each action fired as well as committed mutations to state. • Employed AWS amplify CLI to initialize and deploy Quasar/Electron app to the cloud in order to host a demo i-frame of the application on the landing page. • Used AWS S3 to host static application dmg and zip packages to allow users the ability to download Mac or Windows application version on the landing page. ### CodeRacer | Typing game that tests speed and accuracy @ Open Source Jan 2020 – Jan 2020 • Integrated WebSockets into a pre-existing codebase to provide concurrent user connections during game play, thereby allowing for real-time sharing of high scores. • Implemented Twitter OAuth with Passport.js, due to Passports scalable and customizable Strategy configuration and its support of persistent sessions, to allow validation of users via Twitter endpoint and persistent authorization to access the game interface. • Created test for React components with Jest and Enzyme to improve code refactor time, ensure component output, and prevent regression as new features are implemented. ### Echo | Language exchange platform @ Open Source Jan 2020 – Jan 2020 • Implemented React component architecture to create an application that provides users the ability to find other users on the application with similar language interests. • Used NodeJs/Express to efficiently handle HTTP/API requests and create custom middleware. • Modeled data using SQL database due to its ability to manage the many-to-many relationship between users, target language, and native language tables and to take advantage of atomicity during login endpoint of user authentication. ### Jobify | GitHub job aggregator @ Open Source Jan 2020 – Jan 2020 • Used React Router to enable client-side dynamic routing, made feasible due to minimalistic UI, and to improve loading time and performance. • Implemented React Hooks and conditional rendering of React components to reduce prop drilling and optimize the application’s state management for cleaner code. • Configured webpack with hot module reloading for rapid development cycles and transpilation of front-end assets for better load times. ### Intern @ University of Delaware Jan 2016 – Jan 2016 • Implemented Visual 3D software to create lower limb models to solve for the medial compartment force (MCF) in subjects with anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries. • Established, with postdoctoral student, a simple mathematical model to estimate the peak MCF in subject population during gait and compared the model against a validated model already in use. • Used Qualysis Track Manager to collect subject data using force plates and a system of markers. Was nominated out of 17 other REU participants to participate in the 2016 REU Symposium in Virginia. ## Education ### Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biomedical Engineering Major, Chinese Studies Minor Worcester Polytechnic Institute Jan 2013 – Jan 2017 ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/jojuolaode - GitHub: https://github.com/jojuolaode --- Source: https://flows.cv/oluwajomiloju JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/oluwajomiloju/resume.json Last updated: 2026-03-22
