Leading product design efforts for Marqeta's emerging market products - Credit Platform & Data Products. As the design lead for Emerging Market Products, I own the E2E customer experience for the respective verticals. My contributions span across research/discovery, MVP scoping through prototyping and all the way to GTM collaborations in creating sales enablement tools to help AEs sell the value prop of MQ products. I own and oversee multiple project in these areas, as an IC and design lead for larger efforts with other ICs.
Key accomplishments:
Lead designer on key strategic initiatives in sales enablement of Marqeta services. Facilitating design thinking workshop on how Marqeta's services can be leveraged by customers to build innovative embedded financial solutions.
Helped launch first money movement functionality within Marqeta Dashboard.
Lead the design and vision of launching of a Marketplace for Data Products offered by Marqeta. Opening the opportunity for incremental revenue.
Lead the design process on a platform wide upheaval of platform navigation to accommodate the growing needs of Marqeta services within the dashboard.

Lead design on Tailwind's Instagram Scheduling Product for mobile platforms. The redesign converted 5X better than the existing mobile solution.
Introduced a new & updated visual language to the core product. That increased engagement by 3% for core features.
Established a design system for mobile products & setup processes for it to be developed into react components.
2017 — 2020
At Verizon, I worked on a series of projects. In 2018 Verizon was in the midst of a major corporate rebranding. I was part of the team that helped the Mobile app adopt the new design system. A great exercise in DesignOps.
I worked primarily in the Verizon Customer Succes Technology team working on products for Care Reps and support employees. Our team served as design consultants for our Technology branch. We help them design experiences for experimental projects and future technologies.

Union Assurance PLC is one of Sri Lanka's leading life insurance provider. I was hired as a part time freelancer in designing its next generation of digital products aiding in the digital transformation the executive board is leading. I was tasked to create an intuitive experience that helped the company salesforce to efficiently consult and sell life insurance covers to customers.
Key Responsibility:
Conduct user interviews with stakeholders throughout the organization to understand the struggles and the process of how a life insurance cover is sold.
Consult with stakeholders to formulate a strategy and discuss UX improvements to devise the perfect set of features for the new and improved POS.
Lead and advocate a user-centered approach in building products.
Build low fidelity prototypes and user test with target audience.
High fidelity design and create documentation to handoff into development.
Be involved in QA process to assure brand consistency.
