It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do." - Pele It is with this idea and notion in mind that I wake up every morning aspiring to become the best computer scientist I can be. I am currently working as a Software Engineer at IBM Cloud Databases, where I help build IBM's cloud databases platform. I was also part of IBM's consulting team, where I helped develop and engineer software that propeled our clients' businesses to new heights. I graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Computer Science and Engineering (Cum Laude), as well as a specialization in Information and Computational Assurance (ICA). With that said, I love all things technology related, whether it be data science, AI, Cloud Computing, you name it! Hopefully I will become an expert in one of those fields one day! But in the mean time, my quest for knowledge continues... ## Work Experience ### Principal Software Engineer @ InterSystems Jan 2025 – Present | Boston, Massachusetts, United States ### Technical Team Lead @ IBM Jan 2024 – Jan 2025 | Boston, Massachusetts, United States • Led a team of 9 engineers developing IBM Cloud Databases’ (ICD) application layer, including SDKs, UIs, APIs, CLI, Terraform Provider, and internal tools. • Architected the CLI, Terraform Provider, and API for ICD Gen 2. • Led the transition from a monolithic release to a self-serve independent release process, reducing release time from 2 months to 1 day, delivered in record time (1 Quarter), and significantly improving development speed. • SME for OpenAI API Specs, Go SDK, Terraform Provider, CLI, release process, UI, and internal tools. • Resolved critical customer issues for Fortune 500 clients; ensured system reliability. • Mentored and coached engineers, fostering technical growth and best practices. ### Advisory Software Engineer @ IBM Jan 2023 – Jan 2025 | Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States • Currently working as a Full-Stack Developer and SME in IBM Cloud Databases (ICD). • A member of IBM Cloud's CLI Technical Board. • Currently my team's CLI SME. Adding cool new features, fixing bugs, and patching vulnerabilities such that customers may interact with the databases via bash scripts. • One of ICD's SME's on IBM's Resource Management Controller (RMC). Helping release our new products to the world! • One of ICD's Terraform SMEs. Developing awesome terraform features, fixing bugs, and solving our customer's terraform problem :D • Working on improving our code quality and stability by building testing pipelines. • UI customer debugging and bug fixes. • Building my team's independent release infrastructure (transitioning away from a monolithic release) using ArgoCD. • Built a cluster cleanup job that detected and deprovision unused resources in our development environment. This earned me a Technical Achievement Award! • Building lots of cool tools for internal use that have saved us time and money! ### Software Engineer II @ IBM Jan 2020 – Jan 2023 | Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States • A founding member of ICD's Terraform Provider. Helping clients interact with our awesome platform using Infrastructure as Code! • Developing and rolling out new CLI commands and features to help our Clients automate their processes. • Ensuring customer satisfaction by fixing broken client databases as part of the US ICD on-call rotation. • Was an integral member in ICD’s UI migration from Ruby to React.
