Below are some of the companies I’ve worked with, both current and past: Phy (Start-up) As a contract UX designer at Phy, a health startup focused on digital diagnostics for Physical Therapists, I collaborated with the UX Director, head of technology, and head of data science to define an iOS-based MVP. My contributions involved conducting interviews with physicians, physical therapists, and patients to capture insights, delivering persona documentation and experience maps, and creating wireframes and prototypes for the MVP. Google Dialer Team During a 3-month contract with the Google Dialer Team, I collaborated with the design lead, program managers, and user researchers to execute PRDs related to settings, emergency services, and the in-call experience. I produced design proposals for in-call features, adhering to material design guidelines, and ensured that all critical and edge cases were accounted for. The outcome was a set of high-fidelity mobile designs and multiple design proposals. Pluto.tv: At Pluto TV, a TV startup, I defined use case scenarios, created user task flows, and wire-frame documentation for their iOS and Android early mobile products. Additionally, I redesigned the program guide UX and refreshed the visual design of their existing web MVP, resulting in an improved user experience with more user-friendly and visually appealing design. Lytro: At Lytro, I worked closely with the Lead Product Designer to create a user experience strategy for an upcoming iOS mobile application. I crafted detailed UX documentation, including user stories, use case scenarios, and wire-frames. Additionally, I conducted brand research as part of an overarching initiative that fed into a new brand identity. ### Senior Product Designer @ Simple Things Jan 2021 – Jan 2022 | Palo Alto, California, United States 2 / 2 At Simple Things, a stealth-mode startup in Palo Alto, I made notable contributions that cannot be elaborated upon due to confidentiality. Nonetheless, I collaborated with the founder, product managers, and engineers to shape mobile and web-based experiences. To ensure the success of the project, I conducted thorough exploratory tasks such as competitive analysis, technology research, and consumer interviews, which we used to establish user stories and requirements. I also created essential UX deliverables, including persona documentation, user journey documentation, workflow diagrams, and wireframe documentation, while designing high-fidelity mockups for both mobile and web experiences and establishing the design system. Additionally, I explored preliminary branding and identity concepts to lay the foundation for the startup's visual identity. ### Freelance UX Designer @ Glow LLC Jan 2020 – Jan 2021 | Los Angeles, California, United States As a freelance UX designer at Glow LLC, an IoT start-up based in Los Angeles that specializes in IoT and communication toys for children, I had the opportunity to join the early team and contribute to multiple projects. Initially, I worked closely with the founder to create an investor presentation and design the company's identity system. Later on, I took on the responsibility of designing the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and mobile companion app for a pilot test. Throughout this process, I collaborated with the project manager to define feature requirements, user stories, and use cases that served as the foundation for the product and mobile app's UX design. I provided flowchart diagrams, wireframe documentation, and high-fidelity designs for both the Glow device and the companion iOS app. Working closely with the founder, product management, and the mobile development team, I ensured a seamless collaboration and consistency between the digital and physical design aspects by coordinating with the industrial design team. In addition to my primary tasks, I conducted user acceptance testing for the mobile companion app and contributed sketches and 3D mockups of device cover concepts for the Glow device. ### UX Designer @ Monohm Inc. Jan 2018 – Jan 2019 | Berkeley, California, United States I worked as a freelance UX designer for Monohm, a start-up in Berkeley that introduced a groundbreaking device called the Runcible, an alternative to the conventional smartphone. In parallel to my UX responsibilities, I also rebranded Monohm by developing a new identity and branding. As part of this undertaking, I created new industrial design concepts for the Runcible using Cinema 4D. Additionally, I contributed to the development of a new investor deck to aid Monohm in securing additional funding.
