Accelerating customer migrations to APIv3 and unlocking huge gross margin wins

Joined the Platform Team and owned highly reliable messages, drafts, threads, and folder endpoints for multiple email providers (IMAP, Google, Microsoft, EWS). Led architecture and implementation of APIv3: a faster, cheaper, more reliable platform critical to scale billions of email transactions annually.

Prototyped a first-gen lightweight email sync service in Go. Once in production with several customers it was an order of magnitude cheaper, faster, and more reliable overall than its predecessor. Years later, this project ballooned to power some of the top apps on the App Store serving 10M+ DAUs across the globe.
