Proposed, designed, and implemented Checkout API v2 for the Faire platform, which made the API much more performant and user-friendly. P50 latency dropped by 54%, while P95 latency dropped by 65%.
Was the main contributor and co-author of Cart API v2 for the Faire platform, which was one of the largest API rewrites at Faire at the time. The new API vastly improved the interface of the endpoints, aggregated business logic across clients in a single backend source code, and reduced database load. At P95, latencies for retrieving and updating a cart dropped by 89% and 78% respectively.
Proposed and migrated major brand products searcher from MySQL to Elasticsearch, leading to a drop of 49% in P95 latency
Developed Hibernate Custom Autoflush Detector, a project that was the first of its kind at Faire and required a deep understanding of Hibernate ORM and Kotlin IR compiler technologies
