This was a multi-quarter project that was successfully launched with many APIs having improved performance. - Led speed initiatives on brand and product pages resulting in a 1.4% global GMV increase - Led the integration of the Plaid Assets API into Faire to enable more streamlined underwriting operations - Contributed to the development of the payment ledger for the Faire platform ### Software Engineer @ Faire Jan 2021 – Jan 2022 | Toronto, Ontario, Canada - Proposed, designed, and implemented Checkout API v2 for the Faire platform, which made the API much more performant and user-friendly. P50 latency dropped by 54%, while P95 latency dropped by 65%. - Was the main contributor and co-author of Cart API v2 for the Faire platform, which was one of the largest API rewrites at Faire at the time. The new API vastly improved the interface of the endpoints, aggregated business logic across clients in a single backend source code, and reduced database load.
