# Osama Minhas > Software Engineer at Google Location: San Francisco Bay Area, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/osamaminhas I have a Master's in Computer Science with a focus in Machine Learning, and a dual Bachelor's in Information Technology/Computer Science from RPI. ## Work Experience ### Software Engineer @ Google Jan 2022 – Present | Mountain View, California, United States ### Software Developer @ General Motors Jan 2021 – Jan 2022 | Roswell, Georgia, United States Worked on AngularJS, C# and Dynamics based application used by GM Employees to keep track of dealers who are not matching GM’s expectations. Built new features including adding additional dashboard tiles and fixed various bugs. Worked on React and Siebel based application used by GM employees to respond to drivers who use their OnStar button. Helped integrate new components provided by another team into the current application. ### Assistant Researcher @ Institute for Data Exploration and Applications Jan 2020 – Jan 2020 I used machine learning on recipe data to model nutritional content with ingredient lists and titles. I helped integrate research work with an application demo utilizing Python and Node-RED. I advised and assisted peers in program design hurdles (Python, JSON, HTML, etc.). ### Undergraduate Mentor @ Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Jan 2017 – Jan 2020 | Troy, New York I mentored Computer Science 1, Data Structures and Database Systems. I assisted students with labs, held office hours and reviewed student work. ### Undergraduate Researcher @ Cognitive and Immersive Systems Laboratory Jan 2019 – Jan 2019 | Troy, NY The Cognitive and Immersive Systems Laboratory is located at RPI. Over there, I increased the stability of two existing web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Node. I improved the user interface based on user studies and discussions with peers, and added new features, integrating them with old ones. This was done in collaboration with a team at IBM. ### Summer Research Intern @ Tetherless World Constellation Jan 2018 – Jan 2018 | Troy, NY At TWC, I collaborated with researchers overseas, who had collected data involving the production of organic compounds through inorganic means. They required a data science analysis of their data, and so I was given the task of determining how this could be done. I performed many different analyses, including the implementation of a machine-learning algorithm. We continually communicated with each other to determine how to proceed further. ## Education ### Master of Science - MS in Computer Science Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Jan 2019 – Jan 2020 ### Bachelor of Science - BS in Information Technology, Computer Science (Dual Degree) Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Jan 2016 – Jan 2020 ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/osama-minhas-30537614a --- Source: https://flows.cv/osamaminhas JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/osamaminhas/resume.json Last updated: 2026-03-22
