Built the business from concept to $3m in annual gross revenue with 100 small businesses using Parrot SMS Payments. Achieved a $10m valuation with the seed investment round led by Harlem Capital and UpFront Ventures.
• Led a Friends and Family investment round in early 2020 with a $2m valuation. Created a functional MVP with design customers, developed an actionable business plan, and hired two team members.
• Established partnerships with AT&T, Verizon, Stripe, and Twilio, Shopify, and BigCommerce to enable Parrot to collect text message payments from shoppers worldwide.
• Led a Seed Round, raising $2m at a $10m valuation from Harlem Capital, UpFront Ventures, and two independent investors.
• Hired our Chief Technology Officer, a fractional CFO, a Staff UI Engineer, three Software Engineers, our Head of Marketing, and our customer success and sales team.
• Managed the leaders of our product, engineering, and marketing Agile teams who built and released 2 revolutionary SaaS products for small businesses. After releasing our PCI-compliant SMS Payments product in 2022, we processed 4,000 orders and made $214,000 for small businesses in Q3/Q4 2022.
• Led our marketing, sales and customer success teams in the U.S. and Canada to serve over 100 customers and close $3m in contracts for the 2023 fiscal year. Built a go-to-market strategy which included sponsoring eCommerce conferences and speaking on over a dozen podcasts and industry events.
