I’ve contributed to products at both early-stage and scaling startups, beginning at Solv where I supported the company’s growth from a 10-person team to over 100 employees. That experience gave me strong technical versatility, comfort with fast-paced environments, and a deep understanding of how to build reliable, user-focused software.

Most recently at Hohonu.io, I delivered key features and major projects independently, often owning them from design through deployment. Working largely solo strengthened my ability to break down problems, deliver on deadlines, and maintain high-quality standards. At the same time, growing with Solv gave me extensive experience collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers.

Outside of work, I’m passionate about the ocean and environmental sustainability. I’m motivated by building technology that’s both impactful and purposeful, and I bring that same energy and curiosity into the software I develop.

### Lead Software Engineer @ Hohonu
Jan 2022 – Present | Honolulu, Hawaii, United States
- Led end-to-end development of TideCast, a react native mobile app which continues to deliver a smooth, high-performance user experience that significantly increased user engagement and retention.

- Managed admin dashboard, as well as consumer facing data visualization using react/js frontend and python/django backend.

- Optimized backend and database performance, reducing server load and cutting infrastructure costs while improving overall system reliability.

- Built storm-tracking tools and visualizations to provide users with real-time weather intelligence.
Implemented flood-data correlation features, allowing the system to automatically link flood events with storm patterns to improve forecasting and reporting accuracy.

### Technical Lead @ Solv.

In addition to maintaining and building new features in Typescript/React/Python stack, managing a team of multiple engineers to promote consumer focused growth at Solv. 

Chiefly responsible for the Solv react native app, both in developing new features and simultaneous deployment to multiple app stores.
