Tech lead and Senior Software Engineer of the Notification(MarTech, Growth Engineering) Team working with GDPR compliant systems (stack: Ruby on Rails, GoLang, Iterable). As the lead I did estimates, mentoring, and coaching, working with product and marketing. Worked with 3rd party APIs, CRM integration; SalesForce, Iterable, and Twilio. I also did engineering work with Email, Push, and SMS. Backend Ruby on Rails and GoLang.
• Was a lead on Separation of the Scribd Brand into two brands (Scribd and Everand), with two web apps. A
project that had about 100 engineers. And Half a dozen tech leads. My part was to lead the separation and
duplication of our CRM (Iterable, Mailgun), Emails (~100 duplicated over multiple languages), Push
notifications (~50), Auth-0 integration into mailgun. And support for any other them that need it.
• Built and architected new Go Services, to manage large data flows with 3rd party APIs that our Ruby
Monolith could no longer suport.
• Tech lead of a mixed team of 6 - 8 (Engs, Email Devs, and CRM devs)
• Estimates for complexity and time for team level engineering projects and assigned resources.
