My interests span Neurotechnology, Biotech, Software Engineering, and AI/ML, fields where I hope to build projects that make an impact. Technical Proficiency: Programming: Python, R, Java, HTML, CSS, MySQL, PHP, JavaScript, Node.js, React, Swift, C, MATLAB Software: Inventor Professional, Autodesk Inventor, LTSpice Hardware: Arduino, Altium PCB Design AI: Sklearn, PyTorch, TensorFlow ## Work Experience ### Co-Founder @ Equipr Jan 2025 – Present | United States Academic research labs typically operate as isolated ecosystems. A lab can easily manage their own equipment, but have little visibility into what exists across the rest of their organization. This often leads to time wasted emailing around or duplicate purchases. Equipr is a platform that centralizes equipment management across an organization, creating a unified ecosystem where researchers can discover instruments, book time, and coordinate joint purchases. As Co-founder and technical lead, I tackle the end-to-end development of our MVP, and work directly with lab managers and organization heads to shape our product as we iterate. ### Staff Software Engineer @ Mapable Jan 2024 – Jan 2025 | United States Mapable is a revolutionary travel planning app designed specifically for people with disabilities. Our mission is to make travel accessible, enjoyable, and hassle-free for everyone. As a staff software engineer, I led the development of a novel iOS application from concept to launch, leading a cross-functional team of software engineers. ### Summer Intern @ National Center for Adaptive Neurotechnologies (NCAN) Jan 2022 – Jan 2022 | St Louis, Missouri, United States The National Center for Adaptive Neurotechnologies (NCAN) is at the forefront of creating and advancing neurotechnologies that interact with the central nervous system to induce and guide plasticity. Their mission is to translate these innovations into new therapies for neurological disorders, widely disseminate these technologies, and educate the next generation of scientists, engineers, and clinicians. NCAN's work is driven by the understanding that the adult CNS is highly plastic, offering immense potential for recovery beyond current capabilities. During my internship, I worked closely with the software team to maintain and expand BCI2000, the software used for NCAN's research and to explore its applications in clinical practice. I also shadowed members and assisted them with their projects. ## Education ### Master of Science - MS in Biomedical/Medical Engineering Columbia Engineering Jan 2024 – Jan 2025 ### Bachelor of Science - BS in Biomedical Engineering and Computer Science Washington University in St. Louis Jan 2020 – Jan 2024 ### High School Diploma Porter-Gaud School Jan 2016 – Jan 2020 ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/parkermurphy09 --- Source: https://flows.cv/parkermurphy JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/parkermurphy/resume.json Last updated: 2026-03-21
