I studied narrative art for TV, film and games at San Jose State University’s Animation/Illustration program. In that program, I learned production art for entertainment and learned to infuse storytelling into all projects. Through my studies in game development, I became enamored by narrative and player driven experiences working in harmony. As an artist and storyteller I develop an understanding of characters and their culture before building the world they inhabit. I have found a similar process in UX as I develop an understanding of the story behind the people who would use the products I have a hand in designing.
