Wrote and interacted with EVM contracts to provide in-network prices with very high uptime. Lead one other developer, educated them on best practices, and set up a wide variety of infrastructure running Flare Network validators, observers, and oracles. ### Software Engineer @ Superoxide Jan 2020 – Jan 2022 | California, United States Superoxide was an experiment in visually minimal, ungamified brain training for serious adults. Additionally, it was a foray into incredibly secure programming; the only external code it uses is Julia and GNUTLS. Since I developed the whole stack, from server to database, to UI framework, it was an amazing way to learn system design, and understand the web from the very bottom up. ### Software Engineer @ Parabola Jan 2019 – Jan 2020 | San Francisco Bay Area I did a lot of backend work here, in Python, created their recommendation engine with Torch, and later scikit due to resource constraints. I wrote a lot of React frontend code, in Typescript with Redux. I started a paper reading club in the engineering department, and we got through a lot of good papers. ### Associate Software Engineer @ Massdrop Jan 2017 – Jan 2018 | San Francisco Bay Area Full stack web developer, I wrote a decent amount of SQL, more Javascript, in the form of Node.js and React frontend. A significant amount more user-facing features than as an intern. ### Summer Intern @ Massdrop Jan 2017 – Jan 2017 My role as an intern was largely working as a full stack JavaScript developer for internally used tools at Massdrop. ## Education ### Bachelor of Science - BS in Computer Science University of California, Santa Cruz Jan 2014 – Jan 2018 ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/a-peter-herniman --- Source: https://flows.cv/peterherniman JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/peterherniman/resume.json Last updated: 2026-03-22
