The language supports arbitrary data collection from cloud systems and consumer devices then performing property assertions on that data. I led efforts that improved authentication throughput by ~60%. Was selected as a member of the Architecture Review Board for the company, proposed and reviewed major technical changes to the product. Lead a FIDO server standard certification project and became a contributing member of working groups for the overall standard. ### Software Engineer @ Inpher Jan 2020 – Jan 2021 Built a green field system to schedule and execute computations running across multiple data centres. I architected and built a user facing data upload service. I have worked on a fair scheduling system for user facing data ingestion and on a command line tool for uploading and interfacing with the Blackfynn data platform written in Rust. I run brown bag lunches once a week. Where people over lunch from many areas of the company present either an academic paper, a tech talk or a new thing they discovered. ### Software Engineer II @ Comcast Jan 2018 – Jan 2018 | Greater Philadelphia Area Worked on the backend of Xfinity Stream primarily using Scala and Akka Streams to deliver video downloads. Responsible for supporting Xfinity Stream edge services. Focus primarily on stability and performance. Environment was heavily test and telemetry driven. ### Software Engineer Intern @ Shazam Jan 2017 – Jan 2017 | London, United Kingdom I returned to Shazam, directly after completing my dissertation, as a member of the Data and Content Team which builds ingestion pipelines to third party providers and constructs user facing services. I was responsible for delivering features such as a new notifications pipeline and two ingestion pipelines. I trained and evaluated interns. I worked with Scala and used Akka Streams and Spark. I made heavy use of Futures to construct concurrent services. I worked in a TDD environment and was required to teach TDD alongside Scala to interns with no experience in either. ### Software Engineer Intern @ Shazam Jan 2016 – Jan 2016 | London, United Kingdom During this internship I worked with the Android, iOS and server teams. I focused primarily on the construction of the new Discover service. I worked in Java, Go, Objective C and Scala.
