• - Designed a new event driven system for Nordstrom store inventory , data going from Oracle on-prem databases using Oracle Golden Gate to Kafka in AWS Cloud. System sends out 3 million messages per day with the goal of improving store inventory visibility for 200+ stores and reduced technical debt by 50%.
• - Implemented an event driven system that created a consolidated inventory picture for all of Nordstrom’s warehouses in AWS while providing quality event sourced data for onboarded consumers. This system was one of the major contributors to a significant reduction in customer cancellations for the company. (136 basis points better than the previous year). Reduced inventory discrepancies from 3 – 5% to 0.12% at fulfillment centers.
• - Implemented an inventory reconciliation process for warehouses that eliminated 4 + hour downtime at two fulfillment centers which resulted in warehouses shipping an additional 200,000 units every month (thus an additional $10 million in sales realized sooner in a year).
• - Built out a ElasticSearch based dashboard to trend and alert on vital numbers on supply chain warehouse systems. (Number of customer orders received , notify when a customer cancel happens etc).
• - Customized Oracle custom JMS Queue data transmissions to improve inventory integrity efforts.
