As part of the platform team in HQ, was involved in the public cloud migration and laying the ground work for running the service in multiple regions in active-active manner.

Some of the projects:

Extended the routing layer to proxy traffic from one region to another region and also fail over one region to another.

Dockerizing the entire bluejeans application stack.

Migrating backend systems from data center to Kubernetes on public cloud ( AWS EKS ) without any downtime.

Involved with capacity planning and estimation to handle surges in traffic.

One of the early engineers in the back-end engineering team in the Bangalore office.

Started off with new feature development in Bluejeans Video Conferencing Service. Later moved on to the infrastructure side of the house to work on availability and reducing the time to recover of the service.

Some of the projects:

• Adding Call Me feature to the meetings platform

• Video transcoder integrations with Zencoder and Amazon elastic transcoder.

• Designed and implemented in-house transcoder service to transcode meeting recordings using FFmpeg which auto scales based on the load on the service.

• Integrated the backend systems and HTTP routing layer with application partition manager so that we can take a partition offline with the click of a button and route production traffic to another partition.

• Implemented caching mechanism for login and user management APIs using Redis as the caching server.
