My UX & UI work focused on our internal fleet management tool in our Operational Excellence domain.
•I aligned with other teams and designers who want to add to the tool.
•I hosted workshops for ideation and strategy
•I organized user research with user interviews and surveys based on the insights and requirements we got from stakeholders and data.
•I did Continuous Discovery to uncover opportunities and add to the longterm roadmap.
•I worked on features end-to-end. I considered the problems and opportunities, researched potential solutions, came up with concepts, aligned with the team about feasibility, designed the UI, discussed the developers of the solution's details, helped with scoping down a big feature and review the final outcome.
•Design in the Operational Excellence domain wasn't restricted to UI and UX. System thinking like designing a whole new user role management system is as important as understanding the processes in operations to help improving them.
It is important to focus on the big picture, o work sustainable and to constantly align with the other teams and designers in the company. I always consider repercussion outside of my team's domains and try to prevent double work and conflicts.
I got more responsibilities due to my additional tole as People Lead for a cross-functional team. The cross-functional team includes a tech lead, additional software engineers, a product manager and me. I have to facilitate a good team culture, review the internal processes and ensure the team works in a healthy environment. I enable the tech lead to concentrate on the technical challenges.
