Design: Create wireframes/prototypes in Figma; leverage AI ideation (e.g., Claude) to explore layouts, UX flows, and content models.

Frontend Development: Build features in HTML/CSS/JavaScript/React, integrating Firebase (Auth, Storage, Hosting).

Admin-Friendly Editing: Architect front-end content controls so non-technical users can update sections (e.g., E-ZINE photo/content updates) without touching Firebase.

Testing & Debugging: Plan and execute debugging and user testing; diagnose backend/Firebase issues; document fixes and test cases.

Release Management: Work in feature branches, open PRs, and coordinate staged deployments 1–2× weekly ahead of Tuesday team meetings (Team Lead performs final deploys).

Collaboration & Docs: Track work in GitHub Projects; contribute to the Web Dev Intern Manual; deliver end-of-cycle training to admin on new tools/techniques.

Communication: Use Git/Discord for updates; write clear release notes and implementation guides.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct floor surveillance (sales floor, self-checkout, vestibule) and remote CCTV reviews to identify theft, ORC activity, and safety risks.

Perform policy-compliant apprehensions (selection → concealment → continuous observation → non-payment → exit/under-ring), prioritize de-escalation, and ensure guest/associate safety.

Recover merchandise, complete incident/case reports, preserve evidence, and coordinate with local law enforcement when required.

Run refund/void/discount audits and review POS exception reports to detect internal/external loss patterns.

Monitor and maintain EAS systems, conduct bag checks when policy permits, and support high-risk product protection (e.g., OTC/health & beauty).

Deliver daily briefings to management; train associates on theft indicators, safety, and incident reporting protocols.

Support front-end integrity (receipt checks, self-checkout reviews) and execute trespass/barring procedures for repeat offenders per company policy.
